Stewardship at the Church of Saint Clare

Stewardship is the practice of systematic and proportionate giving of time, abilities and material possessions.  These are a trust from God to be used in his service for the benefit of all humankind in grateful acknowledgement of Christ’s redeeming love.  The Lord Jesus put it simply like this:  The gift you have received, give as a gift!

Stewardship for Saint Clare parishioners means committing a defined portion of time, talent and treasure to the parish mission of worship, education and service.  Stewardship is consciously and faithfully designating a weekly place in your BlackBerry and your checkbook for the Church of Saint Clare!

Our website suggests the many and varied ways that parishioners of all ages can contribute their time and talent to the building up of the Body of Christ within our parish confines and beyond.  Every parishioner household is routinely asked to complete a Planned Giving Card that designates a weekly/monthly contribution.  We ask Saint Clare parishioners to consider a minimum weekly gift of $25.  Contribution envelopes are mailed monthly to parishioner homes while electronic giving is welcomed and can be easily arranged by clicking on the link on our Electronic Giving page.  Your consistent planned giving allows the parish to establish a sound budget, plan disbursements accordingly, and plan future projects and ministries.

Thank you for taking your place in the parish!  God bless your generosity!

                                                                      Stewardship Prayer
My parish is composed of people like me.  I help make it what it is.  It will be friendly, if I am.  It will be holy, if I am.  Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.  It will do great work, if I work.  It will be prayerful, if I pray.  It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver.  It will bring others into worship, if I invite and bring them in.  It will be a place of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, of compassion, charity, and mercy, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things.  Therefore, with the help of God, I now dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I want my parish to be.      Author - Unknown
